Edwell Solutions aims at providing an access to technology enabled affordable education to large number of students belonging to poor-middle income class. Edwell Solutions provides necessary expertise to budget private schools in terms of multimedia based learning, teaching methodology enhancement, learning level assessment & parent’s relationship management through active involvement.
Edwell Solutions is looking into the following problems:
- Absence of interactive teaching mechanism in budget private schools.
- Unavailability of skilled teachers in utilization of ICT for education development.
- Old teaching methodology of one way communication i.e. from teachers to students.
- Lack of effective involvement of parents in school educational programmes.
- Absence of affordable technology based education model for budget schools.
They are combating the same through following means:
- Multimedia based education enhances the learning interest of students for specific subjects.
- Sending updates of monthly assessment directly to parents via SMS to keep them updated about learning outcomes of students in school.
- Teachers teaching the concepts like digestive system through new tool which is otherwise hard to draw on blackboard.
Edwell has collected following impact indicators from the field:-
- Enhancement in learning level of students-15% to 25% per month.
- Enhancement in daily attendance of students-10% overall in all 10 months.
- Increase in enrolment rate in school as compared to previous year-5% to 8% increments.
- Backbenchers have started taking active part/interest in classes.
Edwell aims to reach 600 budget private schools in next 3 Yrs impacting 1 lakh students with access to technology based education in an affordable way.Till March’2017 Edwell Solutions has reached (with E-Learning facilities) 28 budget private schools in Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun & Haridwar districts of Uttarakhand. They serve 4500+ students studying in pre primary to Standard 8 at these budget private schools.
To promote experience based learning Edwell has initiated a concept called Green Classroom which equips children with the knowledge on how to make a difference in the world and help create a healthier learning environment that benefits the students, teachers, and learning institution as a whole.
